This guide provides directions for using DUO, our select MFA provider! Below you can find instructions for enrolling and answers to your common questions. Click on the table of contents to jump to the most appropriate section.
MFA stands for Multi-Factor Authentication and is a technique that pairs multiple methods of authentication to reduce the risk unauthorized system access. PatientWing’s MFA deployment uses a smartphone application that receives a push notification after login credentials have succeeded with a service or system prior to allowing the logon.
DUO Mobile is an MFA provider that enhances the security of user account access to systems and data. It provides a second factor of authentication in addition to your username and password credentials. The security increase is a result of the second factor being a requirement to have your phone, be able to unlock it, access the DUO app and approve the logon request.
